The rains have come and the evenings are delightful. Must be time to canvas our neighborhood.

This month, why not commit to talking about the upcoming Mayoral election on Oct 3 at least one time a day, preferably to a millennial? How about going to one of our great local brew pubs and passing out our info cards? Building awareness in August, that’s our job.

Last Saturday I had the honor of talking about our grassroots work on KUNM 89.9 on Women’s Focus, hosted by Carol Boss. I was joined by other local activists to talk about our work on the ground, Flora Lucero, of Albuquerque Indivisible, and Andrea Serrano, of OLÉ, Organizing in the Land of Enchantment.

Andrea talked about her work for Healthy Workforce ABQ – a ballot initiative that will guarantee earned sick days for every worker in Albuquerque.

You can hear the show on the KUNM archives, just select Saturday at 1 pm:

Save the date, August 22, for a Progressive Picnic at Hyder Park.

And don’t forget yoga in the park, Tuesdays, 6:30 am, Ridgecrest Park. You can see we have plenty of props in the picture at the top. Nature is so supportive.

Keep the faith, stay awake, and keep working!
Meta.
